Capitel hathórico

Hathor Capitel
Limestone. Late period (664-332 BC).
Capitel with the image of godess Hathor with cow´s ears. These types of capitals, with the head of Hathor on two or four sides, are found in temples dedicated to female deities, like those of Dendera, Abu Simbel and Philae.

Capitel hathórico con la imagen de la diosa Hathor con orejas de vaca. Este tipo de capiteles con cabeza de Hathor en dos o cuatro caras se halla en templos dedicados a diosas femeninas como Dendera, Abu Simbel o Filae.

Relieve que muestra la popa de una barca real con dos cintas. Forma parte de una procesión conmemorativa posiblemente con el faraón Akhenatón y la reina Nefertiti a bordo, junto con un marinero y dos soldados empuñando armas.

Abu Simbel

Geneva architect, Jean Jacquet, a Unesco expert, makes an architectural survey of the Great Temple of Rameses II ( 1290 - 1223 B.C.). It is hoped that this temple will be preserved in its entirety by the construction of a dam.
