Description
Black ware krater handmade of low-fired Nile alluvial clay, burnished black with incised decoration filled with red and white pigment. Decoration includes running spirals and lotus blossoms, with a rosette on the base. Inscription on the base has been translated by G. Posener as “To Humbaba.” Mended and restored in 1941
