Cartouche of Amenhotep I

 XVIII dinasty


This ostracon contains the titles and the cartouches of Amenhotep I. The hieroglyphic signs are firmly marked in a dense black drawn on a red sketch. Beneath, one notices a closed hand evoking the power of "the good god, Lord of the Two Lands, King of Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt". The second side carries, in a cartouche, the name of the goddess Renenutet, "Lady of the Sycamore".
