Fragment from a richly painted cartonnage mummy-case of the 3rd Intermediate Period, for a member of the elite at Thebes named Ankhkhons. To the right stands a jackal-headed deity, probably Anubis, god of mummification, holding the sceptre of power and four ankh- signs of life.
