This beautiful vase in blue faience is part of a group of four vases (E.2247A-D) of the same type, but of a slightly different form. The heset-vase served to carry out water libations during purification ceremonies, more specifically on the funerary offering tables. This second receptacle bears a vertical inscription, containing the title of king of Upper and Lower Egypt of pharaoh Amenhotep II.
