Family of Three Egypt Middle Kingdom 12th-13th Dynasty 1850-1750 BCE Limestone
This sculpture reminds me of the Three Muses in Greco-Roman art although it is from a much earlier period. It is characteristic of Middle Kingdom group statuary with emphasized hands and feet, large ears and heavy wigs.
