Dra Abu El Naga
EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
These gold bands, which are all the same size, were found in the tomb of Queen Ahhotep.
The large flat rings and square recesses are formed from thin leaves of gold. They are adorned by a braided design that is single on one side and double on the other.
Bracelets existed in Egypt from its earliest history and were very popular. They were worn both on the wrist and on the arm.
