A tombstone that is adorned with the embossed figure of a Roman soldier, who wears a short chiton and a gown.
He is carrying a roll in his left hand, which he rests on his chest, and his right hand is resting on a prop that is standing at his side. On the lower part of the tombstone there is an inscription giving his name and rank.
There were various sorts of tombstones in the Greek and Roman periods.
