Amulet of Isis suckling Horus

Amulet of Isis suckling Horus
Crudely modelled turquoise-blue glazed faience amulet in the form of the goddess Isis, throned and suckling her child Horus. There is a hole for suspension at the back of the horned sun-disk worn by the goddess. The motif of mother-goddess and child-god is one of the most popular in Late Period Egyptian amulets, and in religious literature of all periods.
