Pottery sherd

Pottery sherd
A large sherd in cream ware with a pinkish surface. The decoration resembles outstretched wings, painted red with brown feather-like detail. In between are stylised ankhs.
The sherd was given to the Museum in 1947 by Professor Garstang. It was discovered during his excavations at Meroe.
