Large vase

Large vase with curved conical body and pointed base. The neck flares out slightly towards the rim. The lower part of the body is mostly restored. The neck and upper part of the body bear floral motifs. The drawing of the figures was done elegantly with a thin black line, the painting, however, shows signs of haste.
Painted vessels with floral motifs were very popular in the late New Kingdom and are reminiscent of the real garlands that decorated drinking vessels during festivities; vessels for beer and wine were particularly popular.
