Clay figure of a bird
1902471.JPG
Painted pottery figure of a bird, from which the head is lost. Pottery figures of animals and birds are rare in Egyptian burials. For the date, apparently early Middle Kingdom, see the comment on vessel NMI 1902:477, from the same tomb, which had already been robbed in antiquity.
