Obelisk of Nakht-Bast-eru

Obelisk of Nakht-Bast-eru
This miniature wooden obelisk has a vertical column of inscription with the offering formula on three of its sides. On the side without inscription one is a wooden dowel. Another figure, perhaps a god, was originally fixed to this peg but is now lost. As the inscription refers to funerary gods the missing god may well have been Osiris. Perhaps this obelisk formed part of the lid of a shabti box.
