MUMMY COVER
This mummy board belongs to a set consisting of a mummy board, an inner and an outer coffin, found in the Deir el-Bahari cachette (ÄOS 6264-6266). The mummy board was placed on top of the mummy and was made and decorated in the same style as the lid of the inner coffin: the layout of the registers is the same; in the centre is a scene with Osiris on a throne and winged deities, on the leg section is a vertical band with scarabs and on the sides are representation...s of the Osiris myth.
